Kalina Smith
Quest Staff Member 2000,2001,2002

School: Harvard

Kalina graduated from Harvard College in 2001 with a degree in the history of science. She is originally from Abbotsford, British Columbia, a city one hour outside of Vancouver, where she grew up on her family's Dairy farm. Kalina's interests include backpacking, education and dance. She was a member of the Crimson Dance Team as an undergraduate, and taught dance with CityStep, a non-profit organization geared toward teaching fifth and sixth graders creative forms of self-expression. After her graduation from Harvard, and prior to joining Quest full-time, Kalina spent four months experiencing urban school systems through student teaching math and science at Mission Hill Middle School in Boston. Kalina is the director of the Stanford Chapter of the Quest Scholars Program. She has worked for Quest in various capacities for the past several years, first as a summer counselor and later as the associate director of Quest at Harvard. Most recently, following her college graduation, Kalina served as the director of Quest's Harvard Chapter.
