Kristle has an incredible passion for people, which fuels both her personal and academic interests. She regularly volunteers with the Stanford Project on Hunger and is heavily involved in dorm life, from writing short plays to teaching a small informal seminar on Starbucks. Often seen wandering around the halls of her residence, Kristle loves to get to know the people around her and is always on the lookout for a good conversation. In the pursuit of expanding her understanding of the different facets that make up our individuality, Kristle has taken Queer, Asian, and elderly studies. She will be learning about a completely different culture and perspective first-hand when she studies literature, language, and politics in Russia this fall. She was excited to work with high school students this summer and hopes to one day combine her interests in education and her major, Symbolic Systems.
