Dana grew up in a small village in Israel and moved to California when she was 14. Stepping outside the small boundaries of her community into a different world sparked in her a desire to help others and make a difference globally. She hopes to achieve that goal through education and aspires to become a professor and a researcher. She loves her major and minor but also a wide variety of other fields, ranging from astronomy and music to biology and philosophy. Her passions include dancing, reading, camping, photographing, and drawing. Dana was an SYESP participant in 1995. Right now, she is in Boston, directing the new Harvard program at Harvard University.
