Ana Rowena Mallari-McCullough co-founded the Quest Scholars
program with Michael McCullough nine years ago. She currently
leads the organization as President, and serves as a Board
member.
Mrs. McCullough graduated from the Stanford Law School in
1999.
She was born and raised in Hawaii. During her undergraduate
tenure at Stanford, McCullough supported herself for three
years by working as a Lorry Lokey Fellow and consulting scientist
at the Environmental Defense Fund where she worked extensively
on western water and fisheries issues. She also worked on
the reauthorization of the Magnuson Fishery Conservation and
Management Act, Proposition 65 cases involving lead levels
in fine chinaware, and biological studies relating to factors
of mortality of the Pacific Northwest Salmon. Her major interests
are water law, other natural resources law, and market-based
programs for environmental protection. She also has strong
interests in youth law.
Mrs. McCullough joined Michael McCullough in creating the
Stanford Youth Environmental Science Program, now the Quest
Scholars Program, while still an undergraduate. She has brought
a wealth of environmental contacts to the program and environmental
content to Quest's curriculum.
For these efforts Mrs. McCullough was awarded the Dinkelspiel
Award for exceptional contributions to education at Stanford--the
highest honor given to a senior undergraduate woman at the
university.
After her law school graduation, Mrs. McCullough chose to
focus her energies full-time on Quest.
